"Abu Dhabi Judiciary" It intensifies its efforts to support family stability and cohesion

ABU DHABI, 4 JUNE / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Councils of the Office of Citizens and Community Affairs in the Presidential Office, organized a lecture entitled “The Peaceful Family,” as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance family cohesion and spread community awareness of positive values and behaviors that support the stability of the family and society.
The lecture, which was held at the Shaab Al Ashkhar Majlis in Al Ain, comes as part of the “Our Councils” initiative implemented by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Presidential Office, and Head of the Department, which aims to enhance direct communication with members of society, and discuss issues that affect the family and contribute to consolidating the quality of life and societal stability.
The lecture, presented by Dr. Turki Al-Qahtani, a senior family mentor at the Judicial Department, shed light on the concept of reassurance within the family as an essential foundation for achieving psychological and social stability, stressing that true housing is not only linked to material resources, but is based on feelings of safety, inclusion, and mutual appreciation among family members, which contributes to creating a supportive and balanced environment.
He discussed the pivotal role of the family in building a cohesive and secure society, as it is the primary incubator for instilling values and developing positive behaviors, in addition to the impact of family stability in raising individuals capable of facing challenges and building healthy relationships based on respect and responsibility.
He reviewed the most prominent values that form the foundation of a reassured family, foremost of which are affection, compassion, trust, justice, and wise disregard, as they are the main pillars for strengthening family ties and establishing a culture of dialogue and understanding, in a way that reduces conflicts and enhances stability within the home.
The lecture touched on a number of practical skills that support family life, including effective communication, good listening, constructive management of differences, and positive expression of feelings, in addition to the importance of distributing responsibilities and strengthening partnership between family members in facing daily requirements.
She discussed a number of contemporary challenges that may affect family cohesion, such as economic pressures, preoccupation with modern technologies, poor direct communication, and growing unrealistic expectations, stressing the importance of awareness of these variables and dealing with them in balanced ways that preserve family stability and cohesion.
