Cooperation between "UAE businesswomen" and"Opera Russia" To promote entrepreneurship

SAINT PETERSBURG, June 5, 2017 (WAM) – The UAE Businesswomen Council and OPERA Russia signed a memorandum of cooperation during the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum held in Russia, in a step that reflects the depth of bilateral relations and enhances cooperation in the fields of entrepreneurship, support for small and medium enterprises, and women’s economic empowerment.

The signing was attended by His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Sultan Issa Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, and Alexander Kalinin, President of the “Opera Russia” organization.

The memorandum was signed by Her Excellency Aisha Mohammed Saeed Al Mulla, President of the Emirates Businesswomen’s Council, and Nadia Cherkasova, Vice President of OPERA Russia, project coordinator of the Eurasian Women’s Forum Council.

The two sides stressed that the memorandum represents an important step towards strengthening economic partnerships, expanding opportunities for joint cooperation in supporting women entrepreneurs, and exchanging experiences between the two countries, in line with sustainable development trends.
