Experts: The resilience of the tourism sector in the Emirates strengthens its ability to continue recovery

Dubai, 5 June / WAM / International leaders and experts in the travel and tourism sector unanimously expressed absolute confidence in the resilience and strength of the tourism sector in the UAE, stressing its high ability to achieve a rapid and smooth recovery, and to return to record growth rates that exceed previous levels, based on an integrated and advanced tourism system, and the country’s established position as an attractive and sustainable tourist destination that embraces the latest concepts of the travel and entertainment industry.
This came during the two-day “Hybrid” Tourism Summit organized by Elevate World, with the aim of exploring the prospects of the tourism sector in the Emirates, formulating proactive strategies to prepare for the expected recovery, and maximizing benefit from promising growth opportunities during the last quarter of this year and beyond.
The summit, which was held in a hybrid system that combines virtual participation and direct attendance at the “Elift Tourism Center” in Dubai, brought together more than 300 participants, 100 of whom were leaders of travel agents and global tour operators, and more than 200 representatives of hotels, resorts and tourist destinations from various parts of the world, and witnessed the organization of more than 1,500 scheduled bilateral business meetings.
Samir Hamada, founder and CEO of Elevate World, stressed in the opening speech of the summit that the UAE has once again proven its extreme flexibility and speed in adapting to changes, as well as its embodiment of the highest levels of care and concern for its citizens, residents and visitors during times of challenges, which consolidates its position as one of the most prominent leading tourist destinations in the world, thanks to the exceptional and unprecedented advantages and services it provides in many fields.
He said that the future outlook for the UAE tourism sector is very positive, and we are confident that full recovery is imminent and very close thanks to the incomparable capabilities and infrastructure that the country possesses.
The summit witnessed a review of the future plans of government agencies and major companies. Representatives from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Miral, and the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority provided important insights into their joint strategies to enhance awareness of local tourist destinations and work closely with the global travel sector to benefit from the peak season in the fourth quarter.
Elevate World and Miral announced a new partnership aimed at increasing the reach and reach of hotels, entertainment destinations, and tourist experiences that Yas Island abounds across global travel industry networks.
During the summit, Elevate World launched the “Yara Artificial Intelligence” system, which is an innovative artificial intelligence solution designed to support tour operators, hotels, and the tourism industry system. It relies on shifting from the “reactive” method to “initiative and proactive” in providing solutions to serve the inbound tourism system.
In a related context, the “Wayne Al Murjan” project in Ras Al Khaimah, as the main sponsor of the event, reviewed the latest developments of the project, which is considered one of the most anticipated tourism projects in the region, highlighting the importance of cooperation between the government and private sectors in consolidating Ras Al Khaimah’s position as one of the fastest growing tourist destinations.
On the second day, the Informa Foundation highlighted the prosperity of the exhibition and business tourism sector in the country, announcing great optimism and high demand for upcoming mega events such as the “Middle East Energy 2026” exhibition.
The dialogue sessions for travel industry leaders from major global markets witnessed widespread praise for the UAE tourism system and its continued attractiveness. Participants also highlighted strong positive indicators of future demand and the continued growth of promising opportunities for the sector in major international markets.
