Al-Sharjah faces the Saudi Gulf in the beginning of its Asian campaign

Kuwait, June 5 / WAM / Sharjah Club (the defending champion) will open its campaign in the Asian Handball Championship in Kuwait tomorrow, facing the Saudi Gulf team at 9 pm UAE time, as part of the preliminary round competitions.

According to the new match schedule announced by the Asian Handball Confederation, Al-Sharjah will meet next Sunday with Kuwait’s Burgan in the second round, then Bahraini’s Al-Najma on Wednesday, June 10, then Al-Duhail of Qatar on Thursday, June 11, and Al-Arabi of Qatar on Friday, June 12, then Al-Kuwait of Kuwait on Sunday, June 14.

The team delegation arrived in Kuwait yesterday in preparation for participating in the tournament, the champion of which qualifies for the finals of the World Club Championship “Super Globe” in Egypt.

The tournament will be held from June 6 to 15.

The AFC had announced changes to the tournament’s competitions with the participation of 7 teams after the withdrawal of the Chinese AHA team.

The team’s management supported its ranks with 4 professionals, namely the Egyptian Zamalek duo Hisham Mohamed and Gamal Salah, in addition to the Tunisian duo Moaz Al-Ayari and Misbah Al-Sanaei.
