Abu Dhabi celebrates Emirati and Arab music during the month of June

Abu Dhabi, June 8 / WAM / This June, Abu Dhabi will host a series of concerts performed by a number of Arab music stars, who present various artistic experiences ranging from masterpieces of authentic Emirati music to romantic works and contemporary pieces.

On June 26, the Cultural Complex will host a concert celebrating the popular musical and poetic heritage, under the title “Cultural Complex Sessions: An Evening of Emirati Musical Memory with Abdul Rahman Al Junaid.”

The evening honors the symbols of Emirati poetry and music that shaped the popular conscience, and highlights the richness of the national cultural heritage and its renewed presence in the contemporary artistic scene.

The star Wael Kfoury will perform at a concert on June 13 at Space 42 Arena in Al Raha Beach, and on June 20 musician Omar Khairat will perform his first concert at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island.

Fakhri Al Sarraj, Director of the Abu Dhabi Events Office at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, said that Abu Dhabi is continuing to consolidate its position as a leading destination for Arabic concerts and live entertainment in the region by attracting the brightest stars and presenting them to the public in the capital.

He added that since the beginning of this year, the emirate has hosted a group of Arab singers, in addition to the “Songs of the Nineties” concert, as part of an exceptional program of performances that received a wide response and a remarkable response from members of the community and visitors alike. He looks forward to welcoming more music audiences to enjoy this new series of concerts performed by an elite group of artists, which contributes to strengthening Abu Dhabi’s presence in the live entertainment sector.
