The Ras Al Khaimah delegation presents to major companies in southern China the growth opportunities in green technology and manufacturing

Fuzhou – China, June 12 / WAM / A delegation of government officials and business sector leaders in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah concluded a successful four-day tour in the provinces of Guangdong and Fujian in the People’s Republic of China, which included holding fruitful meetings in the cities of Guangzhou and Fuzhou, and organizing business promotional conferences under the slogan “Together towards shared value”, to introduce the growing economy in the emirate.
The tour focused on highlighting Ras Al Khaimah’s position as a strategic center for Chinese companies wishing to expand their business and enhance their access to the markets of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, by highlighting the regulatory frameworks and supportive procedures, and the major supply and procurement opportunities that the emirate provides to Chinese companies.
The strategic dialogue, in addition to reviewing capital investment opportunities, contributed to linking the world-class institutional and industrial capabilities of major southern Chinese companies with the growing economic landscape in Ras Al Khaimah, paving the way for more joint growth opportunities in the sectors of advanced construction, green energy, and smart logistics services.
This round builds on the momentum achieved by the two prominent memorandums of understanding that Ras Al Khaimah signed with the Bank of China and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China in April of this year. It also strengthens the path of cooperation established between the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and Guangdong Province under the cooperation agreement signed in 2024, in line with Ras Al Khaimah’s Vision 2030, which focuses on economic diversification, innovation and sustainable development.
The delegation’s visit witnessed widespread interest, with the participation of more than 500 Chinese business leaders and entrepreneurs, who discussed opportunities to enter the market and expand in the emirate.
As part of enhancing communication with southern China, Ras Al Khaimah highlighted three main themes: advanced construction, green energy, and smart logistics services. A delegation that included a number of leading entities and companies in the emirate participated in the tour, including the main developers “Marjan”, “Al Hamra” and “Ras Al Khaimah Properties”, in addition to the main entities in the industrial and logistics sectors, represented by Ras Al Khaimah Ports, the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zones Authority “RAKEZ”, and the Ras Al Khaimah Municipality Department as the entity concerned with planning for sustainability.

The prominent investment experiences of Jianhua Holding Group and Mighty Industrial Park, which operate in the emirate, reflect the practical advantages provided by the economic system in Ras Al Khaimah. For example, the former, which is one of the leading Chinese companies in manufacturing advanced building materials, benefited from the strategic location of Saqr Port, and the supportive environment provided by Ras Al Khaimah ports, to establish a high-capacity production and distribution center in the emirate.
Guo Qiang, Regional General Manager for the Middle East at Jianhua Holding Group, said: Our proximity to Saqr Port, one of the largest bulk ports in the Middle East, allows us to benefit from highly efficient maritime logistics services that contribute to significantly reducing the costs of transporting heavy construction materials. The practical, effective support and seamless one-stop-shop services provided by the Ras Al Khaimah government have also strengthened our confidence in establishing our operations here for the long term, and setting a leading standard in the sector.
In the same context, Mighty Industrial Park established an integrated platform in Ras Al Khaimah, which helps Chinese companies benefit from the policies that support business and the strategic location of the emirate, in a way that supports the establishment of manufacturing operations in the emirate.
Zhang Chenwei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mighty Industrial Park, said: The great support provided by the Ras Al Khaimah government for investments that require large capitals and circular economy projects, along with attractive policies such as allowing 100% foreign ownership and not imposing restrictions on foreign exchange, provides the most suitable environment for the growth and expansion of Chinese companies.
Thanks to its strategic geographic location and advanced connectivity network, Ras Al Khaimah continues to consolidate its position as a strategic center for Chinese institutions and companies wishing to access the markets of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Ras Al Khaimah government has also invited Chinese companies and officials to participate in upcoming economic platforms, including the “Ras Al Khaimah Energy Summit” to be held next November.
In light of the rapid economic growth witnessed by Ras Al Khaimah, the emirate stands out for Chinese companies with a future vision as a promising destination for expansion and an opportunity to build an early presence in the region’s markets.
