The Jeddah Governorate Municipality lifted more than 1.6 million cubic meters of Construction and demolition waste of unknown origin, and removed 12,283 concrete barriers during the first half of 2026, as part of its efforts to address visual distortion and Improving the urban landscape.
The secretariat explained that the implemented works aim to remove negative phenomena, improve the general appearance, and enhance the use of facilities and roads, in a way that supports quality of life goals and raises the efficiency of the urban environment in the governorate.
The secretariat called on building and facility owners and contractors not to throw construction and demolition waste in vacant lands or on the sides of roads, and to commit to disposing of it through licensed transporters and sites designated for that; To preserve the environment and public appearance, and to avoid penalties resulting from municipal violations.
