Shamma bint Muhammad discusses with women leaders the prospects for a sustainable cultural and community partnership

ABU DHABI, 13 JUNE / WAM / Yesterday, Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan received in her council in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi a delegation of women leaders from Aldar Properties, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation and building a sustainable strategic partnership between Aldar Properties and Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan’s cultural and educational institutions, in a way that supports cultural and community initiatives and enhances the values of social responsibility and capacity building.

Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan welcomed the visiting delegation, stressing that investment in people remains the basic foundation of all true development, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, is always keen that partnerships between national institutions represent one of the important paths to launching qualitative initiatives that contribute to establishing awareness, enhancing the quality of life, and enabling national competencies to actively participate in serving society.

Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan praised the pioneering role played by Emirati women in various sectors, appreciating the inspiring models provided by Aldar Properties in empowering women leaders and involving them in leading institutional, community and development initiatives.

The meeting discussed a number of initiatives and programs implemented by Aldar Properties in the areas of developing the work environment and community participation. The two sides also discussed opportunities for cooperation in preparation for signing a memorandum of understanding, which opens the way for joint programs in culture and knowledge, community development, training, talent support, and the exchange of institutional experiences.

The proposed areas of cooperation included nurturing talented and creative individuals from Aldar Properties and providing them with the opportunity to participate in cultural and social initiatives and projects organized by Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan institutions, which contributes to discovering promising energies, honing their skills, and turning them into inspiring success stories.

The two sides also discussed establishing a Council for Reading and Cultural Dialogue, emerging from the Shamma Council for Thought and Knowledge, to be an effective platform for promoting the culture of reading, consolidating constructive dialogue, and developing cognitive practices within the work environment, in a way that supports the cultural and intellectual presence of female employees.

Within the framework of enhancing community awareness, the meeting discussed the launch of awareness and educational programs directed at the family and community in the Yas facilities of Aldar Properties, targeting employees and customers, and contributing to spreading family and social culture, enhancing the quality of life, and consolidating positive values in society.

The meeting also reviewed opportunities for cooperation with the Future Vision Training Center to provide specialized training and professional programs that contribute to developing the individual and social skills of workers, in accordance with the best practices and approved training standards.

It was agreed to enhance joint participation in national and community events, commemorate various occasions, and exchange experiences and institutional visits, in a way that enhances the values of integration and cooperation, and achieves a sustainable impact in society.

The meeting also touched on supporting educational initiatives and community activities implemented by the Future Generations Association, and expanding the scope of benefiting from them within the educational institutions affiliated with Aldar Properties, in a way that establishes a culture of continuous learning and fosters the spirit of volunteer work among emerging generations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of activating the cultural, volunteer and awareness programs provided by Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan’s cultural and educational institutions and working to expand the scope of their use in the various departments and facilities of Aldar Properties, in a way that enhances the positive societal impact and supports the UAE’s trends in building a knowledge society and consolidating a culture of social responsibility.
