"Schools of life" Turn July into a month of creativity in Dubai

Dubai, June 17 / WAM / Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Dubai Culture, will organize, within the “Schools of Life” project, next July 23 workshops and interactive sessions targeting children, families and adults under the umbrella of the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy, in order to enrich the local cultural scene and enable community members to develop their cultural and life skills.

The program of workshops and sessions comes within the framework of the Authority’s efforts to make culture accessible to everyone and consolidate Dubai’s position as a global center for culture, an incubator for creativity, and a forum for talents by providing innovative educational environments that combine knowledge and practical experience.

The “Health and Nutrition Club” program includes a number of interactive workshops, the most prominent of which are “Summer Cocktail” at the Hatta Public Library and “Emirati Foala Saffron and Karak Cake” at the Al Jalila Center for Children’s Culture, in addition to the “Cookies” workshop, which allows participants to learn the basics of preparing sweets in innovative ways.

As part of its “Art Club” activities, Dubai Public Libraries hosts a variety of workshops inspired by traditional crafts and contemporary arts, including “Torch Soap,” “Paltli Medallion,” and “Clay Coasters,” while Al Safa Arts and Design Library offers specialized workshops that include the Japanese art of “Kinosaiga,” “Torch Flower Mirror,” and “Soap Making.”

The agenda also includes workshops in sensory learning, programming, and handicrafts, in addition to “Language Club” activities aimed at strengthening children’s connection to the Arabic language, while the “Music and Performing Arts Club” presents a “Choir in Arabic, Welcome Summer” workshop to develop vocal and rhythmic skills and enhance the spirit of teamwork among children.
