"Abu Dhabi Heritage" She concludes her participation in the Beijing International Book Fair


BEIJING, 22 JUNE / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority has concluded its participation in the activities of the Beijing International Book Fair 2026.
The Authority’s participation within the UAE pavilion participating in the exhibition constituted a platform for introducing Emirati heritage and enhancing its presence to the international public, by presenting various models of heritage practices and elements that reflected the richness and authenticity of Emirati heritage.
Participation also provided opportunities to exchange experiences and knowledge with heritage and cultural institutions participating in the exhibition, and to learn about international experiences in the fields of heritage preservation, management and publicity.
The Authority’s participation witnessed a remarkable presence and wide interaction from visitors to the exhibition.
It also participated in the conference “The Future of Emirati-Chinese Cultural Relations”, which was organized by the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language and the publishing house of China Today magazine at the Chinese International Media Group, where the authority reviewed its efforts to preserve heritage, enhance awareness of national identity, consolidate authentic Emirati values among new generations, and the importance of heritage in promoting cultural rapprochement and building bridges of communication between peoples.
Within the framework of the cultural program accompanying the exhibition, the Authority organized a dialogue session, entitled “The Role of Cultural Institutions in Preserving and Promoting Heritage… A Reading of the Chinese and Emirati Experiences,” with the participation of a number of officials and experts from the United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China. The session discussed the Emirati and Chinese experiences in the field of heritage protection, the role of institutions in preserving it and enhancing its presence in society, in addition to reviewing initiatives and programs for heritage awareness, and exchanging experiences between heritage and cultural institutions in the two countries.
The participation agenda included a number of meetings and encounters with institutions concerned with heritage preservation in the People’s Republic of China, in addition to field visits to prominent cultural and heritage sites.
