According to what was reported by the official Egyptian Middle East News Agency, the increase includes the pensions due in accordance with the provisions of the Social Insurance and Pensions Law, in addition to the pensions determined under Law No. 71 of 1964 regarding granting exceptional pensions and rewards.
The decision also stipulated that a 15% increase would apply to the partial disability pension for injuries that did not result in termination of service, as well as the exceptional partial injury pension.
The decision comes within a package of social measures aimed at supporting pensioners and the most needy groups, enhancing social protection and providing a decent life for the elderly.
