"Federal tax" It reviews its initiatives to qualify national tax cadres

Dubai, June 26 / WAM / His Excellency Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Mulla, Director General of the Federal Tax Authority, stressed the keenness to increase reliance on Emirati competencies in the tax system, noting that the Authority is pursuing an integrated strategy to expand the base of national tax cadres, which are characterized by a high level of awareness and aptitude for continuous professional development, to attract more citizens to work in the promising strategic tax sector.
This came during the opening of the “Customer Council” held by the Authority regarding the “Emirati Tax Agent”, within the integrated “Customer Councils” platform that aims to facilitate communication between customers and the UAE government, to listen to their proposals and preferences.
His Excellency said that this meeting comes within the framework of a series of meetings organized by the Authority to communicate directly with those concerned with the tax sector from various segments of society, to enhance tax culture, and to learn about opinions and proposals that would contribute to encouraging voluntary compliance easily without obstacles, to ensure the continuous development of the Authority’s services.
He stressed the importance of the role played by tax agents as they are among the essential elements for the success of the tax system, especially since practicing this profession requires academic qualifications, high-level competencies, and practical experiences that enable the citizen tax agent to perform his role with accuracy and the required standards, to help those subject to the tax carry out their obligations efficiently, pointing out that actual professional practice over the past years has confirmed that the citizen is able to excel and interact with the tax and financial work system with great efficiency.
During the council, which was held in Dubai with the participation of many Emirati tax agents, a team of specialists from the Authority gave a presentation on developing and qualifying national competencies in the tax agent profession, improving digital services allocated to tax agents, unifying tax procedures and treatments, developing institutional connectivity and the quality of tax data, and enhancing compliance and oversight of tax service providers.
