“Dubai Multi Commodities” launches the “Block Down” event for the first time in Dubai, January 26, 2027

DMCC announced the signing of a partnership with EAK Digital, the organizer of the global “Blockdown” series of events and “Istanbul Blockchain Week”, to launch the “Blockdown Dubai” event for the first time in the emirate, which will be hosted by the “Uptown Dubai” district on January 26 and 27, 2027, in a move aimed at strengthening Dubai’s position as a global center for the digital assets, blockchain and artificial intelligence sectors.
The event is expected to attract between two thousand and three thousand participants from founders, investors, companies and institutions working in the fields of digital assets, blockchain, financial technology, artificial intelligence, and games based on “Web 3”, in addition to venture capital funds and financial service providers.
The first CEO and CEO of the Dubai Multi Commodities Center, Ahmed bin Sulayem, said: “Digital assets, artificial intelligence, and blockchain architecture continue to move from the margins of the global economy to its core, and the next stage of growth will be determined by the extent of the ability of these technologies to integrate with capital, regulatory frameworks, and international trade. The Dubai Multi Commodities Center has built the leading technology community in the region, which includes one of the largest concentrations of Web 3 companies in the Middle East.”
He added that by partnering with EAK Digital to host BlockDown Dubai in Uptown Dubai, we are establishing a pioneering platform that brings together founders, investors and institutions at the heart of this transformation.
The DMCC currently includes more than 800 companies specialized in Web 3 within a technical community that includes more than 4,000 companies, in addition to more than 26,000 companies operating in the trade, finance, and professional services sectors.
For his part, the founder and CEO of EAK Digital, Erhan Kurhaler, said, “The company worked over six years to build Istanbul Blockchain Week,” noting that today the event has become the largest Web 3 conference in Turkey.
He added that the partnership with the Dubai Multi Commodities Center gives the company a platform from which to build the Web 3 events brand, which aspires to be the most important in the region, and January 2027 represents only the beginning.
The Plaza area in Uptown Dubai will host the first edition of the event, which will bring together various parties concerned with the sectors of digital assets, decentralized technologies, artificial intelligence, games based on “Web 3”, venture capital, and financial services. It will also discuss blockchain applications, asset coding, digital finance, artificial intelligence, and gaming technologies.
The partnership reflects the growing presence of digital assets, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and gaming technology companies in Dubai, at a time when the Dubai Multi Commodities Center continues to strengthen its business and technology system and attract international companies operating in these sectors.
