"art" It continues to support emerging talents through specialized workshops

Sharjah, June 29, 2017 (WAM) – Fan Foundation – Media Discovery Platform concluded this June workshops and specialized training programs targeting children, young people, and those interested in creative fields and media art, as part of its ongoing efforts to develop emerging talents and enhance their skills in the fields of animation, photography, and artificial intelligence.
The workshops witnessed the presentation of the “First Level” 2D animation program, which targeted participants aged 12 years and above, where they were introduced to the basics and techniques of 2D animation and the stages of producing creative works, which contributes to developing their artistic and innovative skills in this field.
The program is scheduled to be completed through the second level next July, which will focus on advanced training and the production of a short animated film.
The Foundation organized the “Second Level” photography program, targeting members of the Fann Foundation and members of the Al-Nasha’a and Sajaya Centers within the age group of 13 to 18 years.
The program focused on developing photography skills by delving deeper into understanding camera settings and learning about types of lenses and their different effects, in addition to training on using the “Lightroom” program to process images, improve their quality, and turn them into professional works.
Fann Foundation, in cooperation with the children of Sharjah in the Al-Heera, Khalidiya and Helwan branches, concluded the “First Level” photography program under the supervision of trainer Noha Hamza Al-Hassan, which targeted children from the age group of 6 to 12 years.
During the course, the participants learned about the basics of using Nikon cameras and shooting in automatic mode, and they also experienced various practical applications that included photographing people, movement, and close-up photography, in addition to the basics of video shooting and conducting video interviews, which contributed to enhancing their visual and creative skills.
As part of keeping pace with modern technical developments, the Foundation organized a workshop, “Design your imaginary city with artificial intelligence,” under the supervision of trainer Aisha Bint Khalifa.
The workshop allowed participants to explore the potential of artificial intelligence tools in transforming ideas into innovative designs, as the children unleashed their imagination and designed their imaginary cities using the ChatGPT platform and artificial intelligence tools, which enhanced their skills in creative thinking and digital design.
Within the framework of community visits, the Foundation presented a “Photography Basics” workshop for employees of the Environment and Natural Reserves Authority, with the aim of introducing participants to the basic concepts of photography and the skills of taking professional photos in a way that supports documentation and institutional communication work.
These programs and workshops come within the vision of the Fan Foundation, which aims to provide an educational and creative environment that keeps pace with rapid developments in the fields of media and technology and gives children and young people practical opportunities to discover their talents and develop their abilities through direct learning and application.
Hoda Al Harmoudi, Deputy Director General of the Fan Foundation, said that the Foundation continues its efforts to enable children and adolescents to acquire advanced creative and media skills through specialized programs and workshops that keep pace with the requirements of the future and contribute to refining emerging talents and enhancing the culture of innovation and creativity among new generations.
