Schools call on parents to postpone travel until the students’ final results are announced

Public school administrations in various emirates of the country have directed students and parents not to rush to travel outside the country, or to confirm travel reservations before the end of all examination procedures for the end of the 2025-2026 academic year and the announcement of the final results, stressing that the current period includes important evaluation entitlements, including make-up tests and monitoring and approving the results, which requires the included students to remain within the country or be ready to complete the evaluation requirements.

It stated that travel for personal, tourist, or recreational purposes is not a justification for agreeing to perform make-up exams remotely or benefiting from the established exceptions.

Completing the procedures
The schools confirmed, in circulars seen by Emirates Today, that this measure comes based on the directives of the Ministry of Education, and to ensure that no student is exposed to losing his right to take make-up exams or complete the procedures related to announcing the results, which are scheduled to be announced during July 12 and 13, 2026.

Specific categories
The schools explained that the make-up tests will be held during the period from July 6 to 9, and are limited to specific categories in accordance with ministerial controls, including students authorized to take tests remotely from inside or outside the country, and students absent from tests with an approved official excuse, in addition to students who were exposed to a technical defect while performing or delivering electronic tests, after verifying the situation and approving it according to the approved procedures.

Certified official excuses
The schools stressed that allowing the performance of exams remotely is subject to strict controls, and is limited only to cases based on approved official excuses, and includes students assigned to official missions, students who are outside the country for treatment according to official documents, and those accompanying patients outside the country, in addition to students who are receiving treatment inside the country or accompanying patients, provided that medical reports and approved documents are submitted.

Traveling for personal purposes
On the other hand, schools stressed that travel for personal, tourist, or recreational purposes is not a justification for agreeing to take tests remotely or to benefit from the established exceptions, calling on parents to take into account the official dates for tests and results when planning travel, in order to preserve their children’s academic progress.

No reservations installed
School administrations urged parents not to make travel reservations or leave the country before the final results are announced, to avoid any repercussions that may result from missing make-up exams or not completing academic requirements, stressing that adherence to the approved dates ensures that students complete their academic year in an orderly manner, and preserves their rights to evaluation and success in accordance with the applicable regulations.
