Etihad Airways enhances its flights to Brussels, Dhaka, Krakow, Zanzibar and Palma

Abu Dhabi, 1st July / WAM / Etihad Airways has increased its capacity across its network in response to increasing demand, with the transformation of the Abu Dhabi-Dhaka route from seasonal flights to year-round flights, increasing the number of its flights to Brussels and Krakow, and expanding the range of its seasonal flights to Zanzibar and Palma de Mallorca, in a clear reflection of the continued growth in demand, while increasing capacity in the areas that witnessed the highest levels of demand.

The carrier announced the modification of its flight schedule between Abu Dhabi and Dhaka, which launched on June 26 with a fully-fledged inaugural flight, to become year-round with four weekly flights on board the Boeing 777 aircraft, which includes 28 seats in business class and 374 seats in economy class.

The step comes to serve the large Bangladeshi community residing in the Emirates, and to transport large quantities of goods, which supports trade between the two countries.

Etihad’s seasonal flights between Abu Dhabi and Zanzibar were extended until March 31, 2027, exceeding their previous end date in September, due to the great demand for this island located in the Indian Ocean.

Seasonal flights between Abu Dhabi and Palma in Mallorca, operated by the Airbus A321LR, have been extended until October 18, 2026.

The company will increase its flights between Abu Dhabi and Krakow to four flights per week, starting from July 27, 2026, from only three flights, in response to the strong demand for travel to southern Poland.

These seasonal flights operate on A321LR aircraft, and connect Abu Dhabi with one of the most important cultural cities in Europe.

Also, flights between Abu Dhabi and Brussels will increase from 7 flights to 11 weekly flights starting December 15, an increase of four weekly flights on the Airbus A321LR aircraft, which includes first class, business class and economy class.

Eric Dee, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways, said: Etihad Airways’ guest demand has exceeded expectations, with strong demand in various markets, from Brussels and Dhaka to Krakow, Zanzibar and Palma, and the company is responding to this by increasing capacity, while these additional flights and extended seasonal services contribute to bringing more visitors to Abu Dhabi, while enhancing connectivity across its growing global network.
