Two simple steps that open the path to success for your child.. What are they?

Hecht explained that one of the most common misconceptions is the belief that it is possible to “eliminate” a child’s anxiety, noting that anxiety is a natural human feeling that everyone experiences when facing new or uncertain matters.
She added that the best way to support children is to create a safe environment that enables them to gradually confront their fears, which helps them learn to manage their anxiety effectively.
In her work, Hecht uses a simple two-step formula to help children use their anxiety constructively: “Anxiety + courage = confidence,” she says. Hecht says that when children realize that they can deal with what previously frightened them, without the interference of their parents, they gain great self-confidence.
Parents are instinctively programmed to respond to their children in times of distress, Hecht said. But when parents step in to rescue children, “they are inadvertently depriving them of the opportunity to know if the situation is safe.” (Arabic)
