The story of the play
In a mysterious space that resembles a train track or a desolate forest, a number of blind people live in a state of loss, without Aware of their location, relying on guesses and sounds to understand the world around them. A person named… appears to them "Blind train"He presents himself as a guide towards salvation, so they follow him, motivated by hope.
However, their journey ends in a tragic fate, when they discover that what they thought was a guide was nothing but the cause of their destruction. In a harsh moment of revelation, the truth becomes clear: they were searching for a savior… but they did not find anyone.
An experience that goes beyond reality
The play “Speak Until I See You” belongs to the borders of overlap between symbolic theater and absurd theatre, as it is based on a semantic structure that uses symbols to reveal inner and existential worlds, and borrows from absurdity its structure based on disintegration, repetition of dialogues, and a sense of futility.
Thus, it can be described as a work of a symbolic nature with an absurd foundation, in which existential questions intersect with semantic ambiguity, in a theatrical experience that goes beyond direct reality towards deeper reflections on the meaning of presence and absence, sight and insight.
As for the level of directing treatment, the show relies on an abstract visual approach, based on intensifying the theatrical image and economizing on realistic elements, through the use of lighting, sound, and body movement, in a way that enhances the symbolic dimension and perpetuates the sense of the absurd. By time and place.
