His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Managing Director and CEO of ADNOC and its group of companies, and Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of XRG, said that in line with the vision and directives of the wise leadership, the UAE has established its leading position as a major contributor to ensuring global energy security, and a reliable partner in supporting long-term growth and progress.

He explained that with global demand for liquefied natural gas expected to grow significantly, the world will need reliable, responsible suppliers capable of providing supplies on a large scale.

He added that the integrated global trading platform for liquefied natural gas, which we announced its launch today, brings together ADNOC’s capabilities in the fields of marketing, trading and shipping, through a unified global center in Abu Dhabi. It also represents a qualitative leap in the size and flexibility of the ADNOC platform for marketing and trading of liquefied natural gas and its ability to take advantage of commercial opportunities, thus enhancing the company’s pivotal role in meeting the growing global demand for energy.

Rashid Khalfan Al Mazrouei has been appointed to assume the task of Head of Marketing and Development of LNG Supply Sources, where he will oversee the marketing of the LNG portfolio business for both XRG and ADNOC Gas, and the marketing operations and securing LNG supply sources, based on the Abu Dhabi Global Market through close cooperation with ADNOC Trading to unify marketing operations within the new integrated platform.

Among his duties, Rashid will be responsible for ensuring business continuity through the integrated platform, based on the successes of ADNOC Gas in consolidating its position as a reliable supplier of liquefied natural gas since 1977 by delivering more than 3,500 shipments globally, while the current commercial arrangements related to ADNOC Gas’s LNG shipments are planned to remain unchanged, and the platform is expected to enhance the company’s profits by supporting the improvement of LNG marketing activities, including future production from the Ruwais facility.

The platform also benefits from XRG’s growing LNG business portfolio, supported by the company’s supply centers and offices in Abu Dhabi and London.

The long-term marketing work for LNG will be unified within the new integrated platform, in conjunction with ADNOC Trading Company continuing to assume responsibility for trading activities, without changing the current mechanisms of dealing with customers.

During a period of four years, the company was able to build an important portfolio of businesses in the field of liquefied natural gas from third parties, becoming one of the most prominent trading companies in this field globally, with offices in Abu Dhabi, Singapore, and Geneva.

It is noteworthy that the shipping sector is one of the basic pillars of the platform’s work, as the LNG shipping office of ADNOC Trading Company was ranked during the year 2025 among the most important charterers of LNG tankers who deal in the actual shipping market as well as in the shipping fare derivatives market “financial contracts linked to future shipping rates” globally.

ADNOC Logistics and Services Company also expanded its fleet of LNG tankers to 20 tankers, including 14 modern tankers with two-stroke propulsion engines, which contributes to enhancing the UAE’s production of LNG and supporting the growth of global trade.
