Bee’ah Al Sharqiya organizes a “Drop of Hope” blood donation campaign

The branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Eastern Province organized a blood donation campaign for its employees in cooperation with King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Dammam.
The Director General of the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the Eastern Province, Engineer Fahd bin Ahmed Al-Hamzi, stated that this campaign comes within the framework of strengthening the role of the branch and its employees towards society and in line with its humanitarian role and social responsibility in supporting hospitals and blood banks that are in dire need of many blood units, in addition to promoting and raising awareness of the importance of blood donation, spreading the culture of volunteering, and transforming blood donation into a sustainable societal behavior that reflects cohesion and solidarity.
For his part, Assistant Director General for Support and Empowerment, Walid bin Khalid Al-Shuwaird, praised the efforts of the branch’s employees, adding, “We are very proud of the great turnout that the campaign witnessed,” which indicates the strength of belonging to this country, the desire to serve the local community, and an indicator of community integration.
