Declared The Ministry of Defenselaunched the scholarship program to Global standards, they combine national qualification with international experience, which contributes to enhancing the readiness of the armed forces and meeting their current and future needs.
The program annually sends 250 students for a period of five years to 21 distinguished universities, academies and military colleges in nine friendly countries: the United States of America, the United Kingdom, the French Republic, the Kingdom of Spain, the Italian Republic, the Republic of South Korea, Australia, Japan, and the People’s Republic of China. This allows scholarship students to benefit from advanced educational environments and diverse international experiences.
The program comes within the ministry’s plan to develop the outcomes of its military colleges, and is based on three main axes that include military and academic qualification in accordance with international standards, developing leadership and decision-making skills, and building a clear career path that enhances readiness and professionalism.

Scientific and Leadership Qualification
The program was launched years ago, and thousands of talented students joined it, and contributed to developing their leadership and cognitive capabilities and raising the readiness of the Armed Forces, to be launched today with a renewed vision that keeps pace with the future aspirations of the Ministry of Defense.
The head of the Armed Forces Training and Development Authority, Major General Adel bin Muhammad Al-Balawi, confirmed that the program achieves strategic goals in Scientific and leadership qualification, by preparing officers in accordance with the highest international standards, providing them with advanced military knowledge and leadership skills, and enabling them to deal with the latest military systems, in a way that enhances the efficiency of officers and achieves human sustainability for the armed forces.
He added that the program embodies the strategy of the Ministry of Defense in developing human resources, by attracting national competencies, empowering them, and preparing qualified military leaders in accordance with the best international practices, in keeping with the requirements of the future.
