Alarm sirens sounded in Jordan after Iranian missiles penetrated the Kingdom’s airspace

Alarm sirens were sounded a short while ago in Jordan after the Kingdom’s airspace was breached by missiles coming from Iran.

The Minister of Government Communications and official spokesman for the Jordanian government, Dr. Muhammad Al-Momani, said that the missiles were dealt with and confronted.

A responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army told the Jordanian News Agency that, today, Thursday, Jordanian air defense systems intercepted and shot down 8 missiles launched from Iran towards Jordanian territory.

The source stated that the interception operations resulted in the fall of a number of shrapnel, without any human casualties or material damage, stressing that the Jordanian Armed Forces are following current regional developments and developments, and are working within the highest levels of readiness to protect the Kingdom’s airspace and defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and will not allow any violation of Jordanian airspace by any party.
