Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates,” President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, the General Women’s Union, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, launched the international track of the “Launched” training program during the Union’s participation in the “Equality Dialogue: Artificial Intelligence, Trade, and Inclusive Digital Entrepreneurship” session, on the sidelines of the “Artificial Intelligence for Good 2026” global summit. In the Swiss city of Geneva.

The launch of the international track comes in a step aimed at enhancing women’s presence in the sectors of digital trade and logistics services, and building their specialized and leadership capabilities to keep pace with the rapid transformations in the digital economy and global supply chains.

The Secretary-General of the General Women’s Union, Noura Khalifa Al Suwaidi, confirmed that the launch of the international track of the training program “Atlaq” comes within the framework of the Union’s efforts aimed at transferring the pioneering Emirati experience in empowering women to global horizons, based on the unlimited support of the wise leadership, and the vision of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates”, in empowering women and enhancing their readiness for active participation in vital and future sectors.

She thanked and appreciated Abu Dhabi Ports Group for its qualitative efforts in developing the program, and for employing its pioneering national expertise in the fields of digital trade and logistics services to support women’s empowerment and build their specialized capabilities at the local and international levels.

She said that empowering women in the fields of digital trade and logistics services represents a fundamental pillar for enhancing their presence in the global economy, and from this standpoint, the launch of the international track comes from the “Atrak” program to be a knowledge and professional bridge that allows female competencies to acquire the specialized skills and leadership capabilities necessary to understand the international trade system and manage its requirements efficiently, which contributes to establishing more innovative and sustainable work environments.

She added that this partnership reflects the integration of national efforts in supporting women’s empowerment, and confirms the ability of Emirati institutions to provide training and development models that can be expanded and applied at the international level.

The Head of Strategic and Development Affairs at the General Women’s Union, Engineer Ghalia Ali Al-Mannai, explained that the international track of the “Atlaq” program embodies our commitment to translating the “Mother of the Nation 50:50” vision into advanced professional paths, aiming to prepare specialized female cadres capable of excellence and competition at the forefront of vital sectors, specifically digital commerce and logistics services.

She said that this path was designed to be an advanced professional platform targeting female specialists from all countries wishing to join, with the aim of providing them with the latest applied knowledge and advanced future skills. She emphasized their endeavor, through this initiative, to provide the global digital economy system with female competencies who have the ability to innovate smart solutions and employ modern technologies in managing supply chains with flexibility and high efficiency, to improve commercial and logistical operations in accordance with international best practices.
She added that the program was redesigned by experts at Abu Dhabi Ports Group to suit the professional requirements of international environments, as its themes combine artificial intelligence, data analysis, digital solutions, and practical applications in the global shipping and trade sectors.

In its methodology, the program relies on integrated training axes that include self-learning and intensive practical training, in addition to advanced workshops and professional guidance sessions. The program includes four main themes: the basics of digital trade and freight data analysis, building smart logistics solutions and managing global supply chains, cybersecurity related to international trade, and flexible work methodologies.
