The Ajman Businesswomen Board of Directors discusses opportunities for empowering women in the industrial sector

Ajman, 9 July / WAM / The Ajman Businesswomen Council discussed at the Ajman Chamber during its second meeting of the Board of Directors for the year 2026, chaired by Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, Chairman of the Council, the developments of the “Takamul” program for women’s industrial entrepreneurship.
The meeting discussed plans to develop services and supportive initiatives to empower women entrepreneurs, enhance the competitiveness of women’s projects, and expand partnerships with various parties during the next stage.
The meeting was attended by female members of the Board of Directors and female Board employees, via “remote” visual communication technology.
Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali appreciated the Ajman Chamber’s continued efforts to empower women and promote women’s entrepreneurship by supporting specific initiatives and programs implemented by the Ajman Businesswomen’s Council, with the aim of providing a stimulating environment for the growth of women’s projects, enhancing their competitiveness, and enabling women entrepreneurs to explore new opportunities in promising economic sectors, especially the industrial sector.
She stressed the importance of the “Takamul” program for women’s industrial entrepreneurship, affiliated with the Ajman Business Women’s Council, and the integrated platform it provides for qualifying and empowering female entrepreneurs to enter the industrial sector, as the program focuses on 4 main axes, including “training and qualification, consultation and guidance, industrial visits, and participation in exhibitions.”
Dr. Amna Khalifa said that the coincidence of the Takamul Initiative for Women’s Industrial Entrepreneurship with the Year of the Family 2026 reflects the program’s role in enhancing economic and social stability for women and families, by contributing to skills development, capacity building, and qualifying female entrepreneurs to enter the industrial sector with confidence and efficiency.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the implementation of the “Takamul” program for women’s industrial entrepreneurship, and the industrial sectors targeted within the program, which include the aromatic and cosmetic industries, the food industries, the textile industries, and the fashions. The council members were briefed on what has been accomplished within the framework of the program by organizing a series of meetings, workshops, and specialized events in cooperation with the Ajman Chamber and the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, according to the memorandum of understanding that was signed in the “Made in the Emirates 2026” platform, which aims to qualify female entrepreneurs. businesses, enhancing their capabilities, and enabling them to establish and develop sustainable industrial projects.
The meeting dealt with the report on the achievements of the Ajman Businesswomen Council during the first half of 2026, in addition to discussing the plan of initiatives and programs during the third quarter of the year.
The female members of the Board of Directors were also briefed on the results of a number of major initiatives implemented by the Council, where the outputs of the “Plant and Reap” initiative were reviewed and the participation in local events, most notably the “Make in the Emirates 2026” platform.
