US President Donald Trump said on Friday that the United States had agreed to a request from Iran to continue talks, adding that Washington had categorically informed Tehran that the ceasefire had ended.
Trump confirmed in a post on the Truth Social platform: “Iran asked us to continue the talks, and we agreed to that, but the United States informed it, in unequivocal terms, that the ceasefire has ended.”
In his post, Trump did not provide additional details about the upcoming talks or the practical repercussions of his announcement of the end of the ceasefire.
