MENA Golf Tour grants its players direct qualification exemptions for the DB World qualifiers

The UAE-based MENA Golf Tour announced that it has granted the most prominent MENA Tour players exemptions to participate directly in the second stage of the DP World Tour 2026 qualifying rounds, enhancing joint efforts to provide a clear path for the region’s players to reach the highest levels of professionalism.
The MENA Golf Tour stated in a statement today, Friday, that with this step, the top three players in the final standings of the MENA Tour for the 2025-2026 season, who did not qualify for the qualifiers by any other means, and a maximum of up to the tenth-place finisher, will receive an exemption that allows them to move directly to the second stage of the qualifying rounds for the DB World Tour, bypassing the first stage entirely.
She explained that this exemption represents a deserved reward for the players for what they have provided throughout the season, and also gives them a shorter path towards obtaining a card to participate in one of the most prominent professional golf tours in the world. To benefit from this exemption, players must apply to participate in the first stage before the registration deadline, even if they are eligible to exceed it. As for players who have other exemptions, their names will not be counted among the three seats, and the exemption will be transferred to the next eligible player in the final standings.
More than three players may benefit from this step, as it is expected that a number of members of the tour will obtain other exemptions before the start of the qualifying rounds for the DB World Tour, which may allow a larger group of MENA Tour players to compete in the second stage, which reflects the strength of the tour and its growing role in preparing players to compete at the highest professional levels.
This development is a new stage in the path that the MENA Tour has worked to establish, to provide a clear and organized path for its distinguished players to move from the MENA Tour to the DB World Tour. It also embodies the vision of the MENA Golf Tour Board of Directors, which includes Keith Waters, Chairman and Commissioner, Major General Abdullah Al Hashemi, President of the Emirates Golf Association and Vice President of the Asian Golf Confederation, and Donna Benton, the tour’s lead investor.
Registration for the qualifying school for the DB World Tour is scheduled to open in the coming weeks.
