Return immediately..and tests are in person only

The administrations of public and private education schools sent urgent alerts to students whose end-of-school year results showed that they had retaken subjects, and who currently reside outside the UAE, calling on them to expedite their return to the country and prepare to take the retake tests in person at their school headquarters, stressing that no tests will be held remotely, and that they will not be allowed to be performed electronically from outside the country under any circumstances.
The schools confirmed, in circulars sent to students and their parents following the announcement of the end-of-year results and the issuance of the schedules for the repeat tests for the third semester, and which were reviewed by Emirates Today, that the repeat tests are carried out in person only, according to the approved timetables, calling on the students to make the necessary arrangements to ensure their presence in the country before the date of the tests.
School administrations stressed that absence from the retake test is considered failure in the subject, and entails repeating the academic year in accordance with the approved rules and regulations, warning that traveling or staying outside the country is not an excuse for not taking the tests, and the student is not given any electronic alternative or exceptional opportunity.
She explained that these procedures are based on the controls governing student evaluation, and aim to ensure equal opportunities for all learners, and unify the mechanisms for implementing retake tests, in a way that maintains the integrity of the examination process and the fairness of the evaluation.
The schools pointed out that these cases are not hypothetical, as the last academic year witnessed a number of students failing to take retake exams due to their remaining outside the country and their inability to return on time, which resulted in them being considered failed and being sent back for the full academic year, calling on students and parents not to repeat this experience and to fully adhere to the announced exam dates.
School administrations urged all students subject to repeat tests to follow the official announcements issued by their schools, and to finalize travel and return arrangements as soon as possible, to ensure that the tests are performed on time and to avoid any academic repercussions that may affect their educational career.
