"Talented Council in Ras Al Khaimah" Organizes its first introductory meeting

Ras Al Khaimah, July 13, 2017 – The Ras Al Khaimah Talented Council, affiliated with the Emirates Association for the Gifted, organized its first introductory meeting under the slogan “Together to discover talent and create the future.”
The forum was attended by Ahmed Al-Dabani Al-Nuaimi, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, and members of the Council, along with a number of directors of local government departments, representatives of government and private agencies, educational and community institutions, partners, and those interested in the talent and creativity sector.
Ahmed Al Nuaimi stressed that talent is a national wealth, and that discovering, nurturing and empowering it is a strategic investment in the future of the UAE, noting that the association works according to an integrated national vision to build a sustainable system that embraces talented people in various fields, and links them to quality programs and clear paths for care and empowerment, through cooperation and partnership with governmental, private, educational and community agencies.
He explained that the gifted councils in the emirates of the country represent a field extension of the association’s mission, and contribute to accessing talent within local communities, and enhancing the participation of families and institutions in discovering and developing their capabilities, in a way that supports the state’s trends in investing in people and creating generations capable of creativity, innovation, and active participation in building the future.
For her part, Fatima Al Ketbi, President of the Ras Al Khaimah Gifted Council, reviewed the council’s vision, goals, and work mechanisms, stressing that the council seeks to discover talent in the emirate, evaluate their capabilities according to an institutional methodology, and link them to the programs of the Emirates Association for Giftedness, in order to nurture and empower them and build supportive partnerships that provide them with the appropriate environment for development and excellence.
The forum’s activities included the screening of the inaugural film “Who Will Be”, which highlighted the role of the family as the first stage in discovering children’s abilities, in addition to a dialogue session that discussed society’s shared responsibility in discovering, nurturing and empowering talents, and the importance of integrating roles between the family and educational, governmental and private bodies.
The forum concluded with the partners being honored by the association’s president in appreciation for supporting the mission of the association and the council.
