المملكة: Jeddah.. Destruction of more than 4.5 tons of illegal food and meat in Al-Faisaliah

The General Director of Monitoring and Addressing Negative Phenomena in the municipality, Yasser bin Siraj Bakhsh, explained that the supervisory teams monitored the exploitation of a number of residential apartments to operate illegal commercial and food activities, which included restaurants, kitchens, and factories. Food, supplies, and barbershops operate in environments that lack health and regulatory requirements.
He pointed out that the campaign resulted in the destruction of quantities of meat of unknown origin and food prepared in irregular ways, the confiscation of used equipment, and the closure of the violating sites, while consumable materials were handed over to the Preservation of Grace (Estidama) Society, and legal measures were taken against the violators.
Bakhsh stated that the field teams also monitored the exploitation of the buildings.

Monitoring and treating negative phenomena

The Jeddah Municipality confirmed the continuation of its efforts in monitoring and treating negative phenomena, and strengthening oversight of violating economic activities, in a way that contributes to protecting public health and raising the level of compliance with regulatory requirements.
