The US military announces a new round of strikes against Iran

The US military said early Tuesday that it had launched a new round of attacks against Iran, the third night in a row that it had targeted the region, threatening the collapse of the memorandum of understanding aimed at ending the war.

The US Central Command (Centcom) announced in a statement on X that “these strikes will continue to inflict heavy losses on the Iranian forces and weaken their ability to attack innocent civilians and commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz,” noting that the strikes began at 16.45 (20.45 GMT).
