5 million entry permit transactions were completed… and 66 golden residence permits were issued this year

The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai revealed the completion of more than 5 million entry permit transactions, the issuance of more than 1,51,000 new residency permits, and the completion of more than 910,000 residency renewal transactions, in addition to granting about 66,000 golden residency permits, in indicators that reflect the efficiency of the government work system and its ability to keep pace with the rapid growth witnessed by the Emirate of Dubai, through proactive digital services that meet customers’ needs quickly and efficiently, and keep pace with the continuous increase in demand for residency and entry services.
The Director General of the General Department of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, confirmed that the initiative to zero out bureaucracy was implemented in the department more than a year ago, and is considered one of the strategic priorities that are consistent with the digital transformation process led by the Dubai government. He explained that the work teams continue to re-engineer services and procedures in a way that contributes to providing a more flexible and smooth experience, and reduces time and effort for customers, in line with the directives of the wise leadership aimed at developing proactive government services that focus on people, and enhance Dubai’s position as a global destination for living, working, investment and tourism.
Al Marri pointed out that the next stage will witness the launch of more smart services, with an expansion in the use of artificial intelligence technologies to provide faster and more efficient services, which will contribute to improving the customer experience, establishing a culture of innovation, and raising the flexibility, quality and efficiency of government services.
