Abu Dhabi Police warns drivers against random parking of vehicles in front of mosques and on main roads

The Traffic and Security Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police, in cooperation with the Integrated Transport Center “Abu Dhabi Transport”, called on drivers to adhere to parking in designated parking lots and places, and to avoid wrong or random parking in front of mosques or their vicinity and on main roads, especially during Friday prayers.
She explained that random parking on main roads and crossing to the mosque is considered a negative and dangerous traffic behavior that causes obstruction of traffic, closing entrances and exits of parking lots, and parking behind vehicles in a way that prevents them from moving. She stressed that the Federal Traffic Law specifies a number of violations related to these practices, as Article (60) stipulates that parking behind vehicles in a way that hinders their movement is a violation worth 500 dirhams, while Article (64) stipulates that incorrect parking of vehicles is a violation worth 500. Dirham.
She stressed that adherence to traffic regulations reflects awareness and societal responsibility, and contributes to reducing congestion, enhancing the flow of traffic, and ensuring that worshipers and road users reach their destinations safely, calling on everyone to respect the rights of others and adhere to traffic instructions, in a way that enhances public safety and preserves the civilized appearance of the emirate.
