In the presence of the Crown Prince of Fujairah… the conclusion of an initiative "Mental arithmetic challenge" With the participation of 200 students
FUJAIRAH, 16 JULY / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, stressed the importance of empowering young people with sciences, technical and intellectual knowledge, and enhancing their mental capabilities, in a way that contributes to preparing an empowered generation capable of creativity and excellence, and supporting the development process in the emirate.
This came during His Highness’ attendance at the closing ceremony of the “Mental Arithmetic Challenge” initiative, which was held at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah, with the participation of 200 male and female students from the emirate’s schools, in the presence of Her Excellency Sarah bint Youssef Al Amiri, Minister of Education.
His Highness pointed to the interest and follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, for specific educational initiatives that are concerned with developing the capabilities of young people, developing their skills, and consolidating a culture of excellence and innovation, in a way that enhances the quality of educational outcomes in the emirate, and its competitiveness at the state level.
His Highness witnessed some of the students’ competitions, and was informed of their levels of performance in the challenges. His Highness also honored the first place holders, appreciating the efforts of the organizing bodies, educational staff, and parents in making the initiative a success and achieving its goals.
The “Mental Arithmetic Challenge” initiative was launched with the aim of developing the mental arithmetic skills of students in Fujairah schools, enhancing their abilities to think quickly, focus and analyze, and creating a competitive educational environment that contributes to discovering and refining talents, and establishing a culture of excellence and innovation in the educational field.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al-Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, His Excellency Muhammad Hamzah Al-Qassim, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, and a number of officials and directors of educational and pedagogical bodies in the emirate, in addition to the parents of the participating students.
