Food Safety Department temporarily closes “Yummy Andin Bite Restaurant” in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority issued a temporary administrative closure decision against the “Yummy Andin Bite Restaurant – LLC – S.C.O. – Branch” establishment in Abu Dhabi, which holds commercial license No. (CN-2837801), due to its violation of Law No. (2) of 2008 regarding food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the legislation issued pursuant thereto, in addition to its danger to public health.
The authority explained that the food control report stated that the administrative closure decision against the establishment came as a result of repeated food safety violations and the failure to implement effective corrective measures, which necessitated taking immediate action to ensure food safety and the health of consumers.
The authority confirmed that the administrative closure order will continue until the causes of the violation are eliminated, with the possibility of resuming activity after the facility’s conditions are completely corrected and all food safety requirements are adhered to.
She pointed out that the administrative closure and detection of violations come within the authority’s plan to strengthen the food safety system in Abu Dhabi, and to subject all food establishments to periodic inspection to ensure their compliance with the requirements, with a focus on proactive protection of consumers and ensuring that all establishments adhere to food safety requirements.
The Authority appealed to the public to contact it and report any violations observed in any food facility, or when there is any doubt about the contents of any food item, by calling the Abu Dhabi Government toll-free number (800555), so that the Authority’s inspectors take the necessary measures to achieve safe and sound food for all members of society in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
