Folk arts performances attract visitors "Liwa for wet"

Al Dhafra, July 20 / WAM / The Liwa Dates Festival, in its twenty-second session, is witnessing a remarkable turnout and great interaction from visitors with authentic Emirati folk arts performances, presented by heritage bands on a daily basis in the heritage market, the date market, the squares and the theatre.
The live artistic paintings include “Al-Ayyala” and “Harbiyya” arts, so that the festival combines the celebration of the palm tree and the preservation of popular heritage at the same time, with the aim of introducing popular arts and transferring this ancient heritage to the emerging generations.
Folklore arts highlight aspects of national identity and authentic Emirati traditions, within the “Liwa Dates” hosted by the Al Dhafra region in the city of Liwa, and its vibrant atmosphere continues until the twenty-third of this July, organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority.
