180 days “non-continuous” maximum stay for holders of a “tourist” visa: 5 years

The UAE has provided various types of flexible tourist visas, which meet the needs of visitors and facilitate their entry into the country, including the service of applying for a long-term, multiple-entry tourist visa, lasting five years for all nationalities, without requiring the presence of a host, as the visa enables its holder to remain in the country for a continuous period not exceeding 90 days, and if renewed, extends to a maximum of 180 days.

The total visa fee is 750 dirhams, which includes the application and issuance fees, in addition to 3,025 dirhams, the value of the bank guarantee, while the service completion time takes only one working day after completing the requirements.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security has specified, through its website, a set of mandatory requirements before issuing a visa, foremost of which is providing a bank statement as an official document (stamped, stamped, and colored), issued by the bank, provided that the monthly balance in it is not less than $4,000 or its equivalent in other currencies for the last six months, along with providing health insurance issued by the UAE for a period of 180 days, pointing out the possibility of submitting a request for an issuance for a unified family group in If there are children under the age of 18.

The Authority also specified important instructions and controls that must be adhered to after issuing the visa, as the holder must enter the country within 60 days from the date of issuance, and not exceed a period of stay of 90 days (which may be extended for a similar period), noting that the calculation of the year begins from the date of first entry into the country and not from the beginning of the new Gregorian year or from the date of issuance of the visa.

The five-year visa is considered multiple entry, meaning its holder can enter the country more than once, provided that the period of stay at one time does not exceed 90 days, with the possibility of extension, provided that the full period of stay does not exceed 180 days per year, noting that if he does not stay within the country for the specified period, the remaining days will not be carried over to the new year.

The authority warned that the visa is considered invalid and the deposited financial guarantee will be executed if the customer violates the specified period of stay within the country.

She indicated that the financial guarantees collected on applications that have been approved for the issuance of visas or residences are refunded when the issued visas or residences are cancelled, or when they expire, or if the beneficiary of the service becomes one of the exempted categories stipulated in the legislation and regulating laws, while the financial guarantees are implemented directly in the event of violating the legislation regulating entry and residence in the country.

It should be noted that the terms and conditions are subject to change at any time, without prior notice.

She explained that the channels available to apply for the service include the smart services system or the smartphone application, in addition to customer happiness centers and approved printing offices.

The list of mandatory documents required to complete the transaction was specified as: a colored personal photo, a copy of the passport of the beneficiary of the service, health insurance, and a bank statement for the last six months with the specified balance, in addition to attaching a travel ticket to continue the trip or a return ticket, noting that the mandatory and optional documents may differ relatively according to the data entered in the application.
