US stocks close higher

New York, July 22 / WAM / The main indices on US Wall Street closed higher today, due to the sharp rise in the shares of semiconductor companies, while investors await the business results of major technology companies in search of indicators about the future of the artificial intelligence sector.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 index rose at the close by 64.04 points, or 0.86%, to 7,507.32 points.

The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 321.53 points, or 1.26%, to 25,829.61 points, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 384.46 points, or 0.74%, to 52,223.72 points.
