Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak said that the UAE is moving forward thanks to the wise vision and generous directives of His Highness the President of the State, “may God protect him,” as he is the leader who believes in the capabilities and energies of the sons and daughters of the nation, and always strives to enable them to participate broadly and effectively in all areas of life, with the confidence he brings to them in their abilities, and high expectations in their ability to perform and achieve.

This came in Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan’s speech during the annual open meeting with pioneers of national identity among UAE university students across the country, which was held at Abu Dhabi University today, Wednesday, as part of the activities of Sandooq Al Watan’s summer programs in universities. He also honored distinguished trainers and supervisors, in addition to a number of donors and partners.

The meeting was attended by the presidents and directors of the universities participating in the summer programs, in addition to the Director General of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, Afra Al-Sabri, and the Director General of the Al-Watan Fund, Yasser Al-Gergawi.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan stressed that the training program for pioneers of national identity embodies Sandooq Al Watan’s mission in empowering the sons and daughters of the Emirates to be a living model of the values ​​of national identity, with the ability to give and achieve, and the sincere feelings it overflows in love for the nation, keenness for its progress, preserving its interests and achieving its goals.

He expressed his pride in the deep pride he felt among the participants in belonging to the UAE, which is embodied in hard work and sincere effort, sincere loyalty to the country’s leadership, commitment to its goals, pride in faith, self-confidence, awareness of responsibility, openness to others, and keeping pace with global developments, along with a confident outlook on the bright future that awaits the UAE.

Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan stressed that the training program, which was designed for university students participating in Sandooq Al Watan’s summer programmes, showed the extent of the promising opportunities that the UAE enjoys, pointing out that the country is based on a glorious history that represents a permanent asset for continued construction and achievement, and on a wise leadership that possesses a future vision and courage in preparing for changes, in addition to an advanced infrastructure, a distinguished urban renaissance, an advanced educational system, a comprehensive health system, and a clear vision to raise productivity and promote sustainable development.

He pointed out that the UAE’s journey is based on the values ​​of reconciliation, harmony and solidarity, and adheres to authentic principles and values, and enjoys an attractive global environment for trade and investment, and a foreign policy characterized by realism and balance, pointing out that these achievements constitute basic pillars of national identity, and enhance confidence that the UAE is moving firmly on the right path, under the wise leadership of His Highness the President of the State.

Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan reviewed the most prominent components that made the Emirates a pioneering model of giving and achievement, explaining that the Emirati national identity represents an authentic and creative extension of the Arab-Islamic civilization, with the integrated system of values ​​and traditions that have formed and continue to form the cultural framework of Emirati society in the past, present and future.

He stressed pride in the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, who founded a modern state based on progress, prosperity and stability, and established a strong relationship between the leadership and the people, based on trust, love and cohesion. He explained that maintaining the sustainability of the development process begins with pride in national identity and the established values ​​and principles it contains, in addition to its role in empowering people and developing their abilities to create, excel and excel in various fields.

He pointed out that what everyone learns daily from His Highness the President of the State confirms that national identity is an identity for building and reconstruction, ambition, elevating the nation, and unleashing the latent energies of the sons and daughters of the Emirates. It is a national wealth that requires constant preservation and care, and the highest priority is given to the principle of assuming responsibility, as it is the basis for preparing generations capable of meeting the aspirations of society.

He said that society expects young people, and members of national identity clubs in particular, to prepare themselves to bear the responsibility of serving the nation, to initiate actions that reflect their national commitment, to preserve society’s traditions and values, and to contribute to consolidating the values ​​of brotherhood, peace and prosperity inside and outside the country. He pointed out that society, in return, is committed to empowering young people and preparing and qualifying them to meet the requirements of the future, through the integration of the efforts of all national institutions and sectors.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan addressed the importance of establishing a culture of positive thinking, or what he described as a culture of “nothing is impossible,” as one of the basic pillars of the character of the people of the Emirates. He explained that positive thinking means optimism for success, confidence in achieving goals, and the ability to overcome obstacles and face challenges with resolve and determination, and contributes to enhancing the spirit of initiative and ambition, connection to society, and taking responsibility.

The idea of ​​the “Family Fund” is that it includes everything related to identity and family and can be practiced by every individual in order to preserve his values ​​and identity. It focuses on family values ​​and the importance of communication between generations and Emirati families, and includes a number of values ​​and foundations upon which the family is based and through which it can perform its various roles.
