Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Cultural Center continues to enrich the Summer of Generations with comprehensive programs

Al Ain, July 25 / WAM / The Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural Center continued to present an integrated package of activities within the “National Knowledge Generations Summer 2026” programme, embodying the vision of Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions, to build generations that are aware, creative and proud of their national identity.

As a culmination of these efforts, the Center honored the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority in appreciation of its fruitful cooperation in providing heritage workshops and its effective contribution to transmitting the Emirati heritage to new generations.

The activities witnessed a diversity of knowledge that included the health aspect, as Dr. Ahmed Al-Sawafi gave a lecture on consciously dealing with the challenges of aging, while Dr. Muhammad Al-Ahbabi gave a lecture to raise awareness of the symptoms of depression within the “With You for Mental Health” program. The “Feather and Artist” program also contributed to developing the innovative capabilities of the participants through a series of specialized artistic workshops.

The Center, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, implemented the “Zayed’s Heritage and Crafts Legacy” and “Emirati Heritage Crafts” programmes, which included intensive applied workshops in Al-Saana, Al-Yawla, Council Etiquette, and the Talli and Sadu industries, with the aim of consolidating the values ​​of generosity and hospitality and preserving authentic Emirati practices.

The center promoted environmental awareness through the “Shama Mohammed Environmental Education” program, and its participation in the “Our Happier Summer 2026” initiative in cooperation with the Municipal Presence Center and the Al Ain British Academy School, in addition to organizing the “Home Agriculture” workshop in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, to encourage sustainable environmental practices and invest the summer vacation in preparing a generation capable of positive community participation.
