"E-sports" Launches the Emirates e-Football Cup 2026

DUBAI, 25 JULY / WAM / The Emirates e-Football Cup 2026 competitions, organized by the Emirates E-Sports Federation, kicked off today at the Emirates Center for Sports Sciences and Sports Medicine in Dubai, with the participation of 17 clubs and teams, as part of its efforts to develop the e-football system and discover and refine national talent.

The tournament will witness the participation of 13 sports clubs: Al Wahda, Al Wasl, Al Jazira, Al Ain, Khor Fakkan, Sharjah, Baniyas, Ajman, Al Bataeh, Kalba, Fujairah, Al Nasr, and Shabab Al Ahly, in addition to four clubs and teams specialized in eSports, Shaheen, AXE Esports, Void Esports, and Baz Esports, which reflects the widening of the participation base and the growing presence of eSports at the level of specialized clubs and teams in the country.

The tournament will be held in a knockout system, with a second chance for players through the losers’ path, which enhances the level of competition and gives participants the opportunity to continue their journey towards the title after the first loss.

The UAE Electronic Sports Federation confirmed that organizing the tournament comes within the framework of its strategy aimed at developing local competitions, enhancing professionalism, discovering national talents, and preparing them to represent the UAE in regional and international tournaments.
