The UAE youth handball team meets South Korea in the Asian final

The UAE youth handball team qualified for the final of the 19th edition of the Asian Youth Handball Cup, currently being held in China, after defeating its Saudi counterpart with a score of (31-30), in the match that brought them together today, Saturday, in the semi-finals.

The day after tomorrow, Monday, the UAE national team will face its South Korean counterpart in the final match, after the latter qualified for the final by defeating the Bahraini national team with a score of (32-31).

The UAE national team also secured qualification to the Handball World Cup finals scheduled to be held in North Macedonia in 2027, following its great victory in the quarter-finals over the Chinese national team with a score of (37-28).

UAE Youth qualified for the final match after they continued their strong performances in the tournament, achieving an unbeaten record, having won six matches and tied two matches.

The team began its campaign by defeating Japan (32-29), then defeated Qatar (29-24), and achieved a major victory over India (52-21), before defeating Kuwait (29-28), China (37-28), and Saudi Arabia (31-30), while drawing with Iran (25-25) and South Korea (30-30).

The UAE national team is looking forward to continuing its distinguished journey in the tournament, achieving victory over South Korea in the final match, and winning the continental title, to add a new achievement to the UAE handball record.
