All civilian and military resources are mobilized to fight the fires sweeping France

French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed today, Saturday, that his country stands united in the face of the unprecedented forest fires sweeping southwest France, forcing residents to undergo mass evacuations. He praised the efforts of firefighters and emergency teams, thanking the countries that rushed to provide assistance.
Macron explained that record heat waves and dry conditions contributed to the spread and fueling of fires, noting that his country mobilized all available civilian and military resources to confront the fires, including civil security aircraft, water-fighting aircraft, and water-carrying helicopters.
Macron thanked Romania, Croatia, Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia for providing assistance to France in firefighting efforts, stressing his appreciation for international solidarity with his country during these exceptional circumstances that large areas of the southwest of the country are witnessing.
