Revealing the design of the medals for the 2026 U-20 World Athletics Championships in America

Eugene – America, July 25 / WAM / The organizing committee of the World Under-20 Athletics Championships (Oregon 2026) announced the official design of the championship medals, which will be presented to the champions during the competitions scheduled in the city of Eugene, in the US state of Oregon, during the period from 5 to 9 August 2026.
The tournament witnesses the participation of more than 1,700 male and female athletes representing about 135 countries, led by the UAE, in one of the most prominent world championships for the youth category, which is being held for the second time in the state of Oregon.
The committee noted that the design of the medals is inspired by the nature of the state of Oregon and its heritage in athletics, and its official logo embodies the spirit of ambition and movement, while the colors of the ribbons accompanying the medals reflect elements of the local environment, such as rivers, forests, and natural terrain.
She explained that the winners will receive special commemorative pins, which can be presented as gifts to people who played a role in their sports career, in appreciation of their support and achievements.
It is noteworthy that the list of our participating national team includes 10 male and female players, namely Laila Ahmed, Abdullah Mashhoud, Abdul Quddus Ali, Arwa Ali, Maryam Karim, Suleiman Abdul Rahman, Aminat Qamar Al-Din, Aisha Muhammad, Azza Nasser, and Saeed Omar.
Male and female players obtained the qualifying numbers during their participation in the Third West Asian Championship for Male and Female Under-20 – Beirut 2025, the Third Asian Youth Games in Bahrain 2025, the Arab Championship for Male and Female Youth “Tunisia 2026”, and the 22nd Asian Under-20 Championship in Hong Kong, 2026.
