A 5-magnitude earthquake strikes southern India

An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale struck the city of Mulugu in southern India.
The US Geological Survey reported today that the earthquake occurred 55 kilometers from the city of Mologo, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
