BNET hosts the third padel tournament for customers

With the aim of encouraging synergy and cooperation and strengthening relationships between service providers in the telecommunications sector.

As part of its constant keenness to strengthen ties with customers, Bahrain Network Company (BNET), the national company responsible for providing the broadband fiber optic network in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the launch of the third edition of the Padel Championship for its service provider customers, over two days. November 22 and 23, 2024, at the Ritz-Carlton. This tournament came in the wake of the great success witnessed by both the first and second editions of the event.

In an atmosphere characterized by an enthusiastic and competitive spirit, 66 people interested in padel and practicing sports, including employees of licensed telecommunications companies and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, participated in the tournament. The participants were divided into 33 teams in both male and female categories, presenting 70 exciting and enjoyable matches. Attendees also enjoyed exhibition matches with the participation of elite local padel professionals. The conclusion of the tournament also witnessed a drawing for valuable prizes for attendees.

The final results of the tournament resulted in the Pune team being crowned in first place in the men’s category, and the Zain team in first place in the women’s category. All the winning teams were honored and prizes were distributed by the CEO of BNET, Ahmed Jaber Al-Haqbani Al-Dosari. BNET chose padel because it is one of the fastest growing and most popular sports at the present time. This impressive achievement reflects the company’s compliance and tireless steps aimed at creating a collaborative environment within the telecommunications sector in the Kingdom, which contributes to advancing the future of digitization and innovation in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
