المملكة: ​​​​​​​​Allocate the management of municipal laboratories in 5 secretariats to enhance public safety

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, in cooperation with the National Privatization Center, announced the start of the expression of interest phase for the project to allocate the management of municipal laboratories in five municipalities: Al-Jawf, Al-Sharqiyah, the Northern Borders, Al-Qassim, and Jeddah. The project aims to strengthen the partnership between the government and private sectors to raise the efficiency of municipal laboratory services in the Kingdom.

Types of laboratories

The Ministry explained that the project includes three types of laboratories: food safety, material quality, and environmental sanitation. It seeks to enhance public safety by providing accurate testing of food, water, and building materials, while ensuring the quality and efficiency of municipal laboratories.

Equipped with the best equipment

The scope of the project includes equipping laboratories with new materials and equipment, operating and maintaining them throughout the contract period, and meeting the needs of the secretariats in analyzing samples, with the laboratories being transferred to the secretariats at the end of the contract.
