3 matches at the start of the new season of the Handball League tomorrow
Dubai, December 6 / WAM / The competitions of the new season of the General Handball League 2024-2025 will begin tomorrow, Saturday, which will be held with the participation of 7 teams: Sharjah, Shabab Al-Ahly, Mleiha, Al-Nasr, Dibba Al-Hisn, Al-Wahda, and Al-Wasl.
The championship competitions will be held in two rounds (preliminary and final), during the period from December 7 to April 27, 2025.
Tomorrow, 3 matches will be held at the start of the first preliminary round, as Al-Wahda will meet with Al-Wasl in the Al-Wasl Club Hall, Al-Sharjah, the champion of the last edition, will meet with Dibba Al-Hisn in the Sharjah Club Hall, and Al-Nasr will meet Maliha in the Al-Nasr Club Hall, while Shabab Al-Ahly will meet in its first match in the tournament with Al-Wasl. On December 10, at Al Wasl Club Hall.
The number of foreign players participating in the tournament, as well as players born in the country, residents, and professionals, is 17 players, in addition to citizen players from various clubs.
Sharjah, the champion of the last edition of the tournament, had prepared for the new season of the league by winning the title of the Emirates Cup competition, which began last September, as well as the Asian Championship for the first time in its history, which was held last month in the Qatari capital, Doha.
