One gold and 6 silver for Egypt at the conclusion of the Arab Bodybuilding Championship Bahrain 2024
The activities of the 24th Arab Bodybuilding, Classic and Physique Championships, which were hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain for the first time in its history, were concluded in the period from 4 to 7 December in the Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Hall at the University of Bahrain, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Dr. Adel Fahim, President of the Egyptian, Arab and African Federation and First Vice President. The International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness, Jose Maria, Vice Chairman of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness Governors Committee, Sami Al-Haddad, President of the Bahrain Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, the host country of the event, and a number of heads of Arab federations representing their countries, as 10 Arab countries participated in this international Arab event, and they are: Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Yemen, Sultanate of Oman, Kuwait, Morocco, Libya, and the host country Bahrain.
Egypt participated in a mission that included Dr. Adel Fahim, President of the Egyptian, Arab and African Federation, First Vice President of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness, Head of the Mission, Engineer Sami Bashir, Executive Director, and Professor Mohamed Rizk, the managing director, Mr. Mohamed Mohsen, the media advisor and international referee, and only 5 players: Mohamed Abdel Karim, Najm Al-Din Aba Zaid, Abdel Al-Rahman Shajar, Amr Atef, and Fadi Emad.
The results of the Egyptian team, which only participated with five players, all of whom achieved excellent results, as Egypt won a gold medal and 6 silver medals, obtained by the champions. The champion dedicated this victory to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and all Egyptians, promises them to win gold for Egypt in championships. Next, God willing, the Egyptian world champion (Najm El-Din Aba Zeid) was able to obtain the silver in the open weight and the silver in the masters in bodybuilding after a fierce competition in this weight, which is considered the strongest weight in any championship in the world, and the Egyptian champion (Abdul Rahman Shajar) was able to seize an expensive silver. In the 90 kg weight, he is a champion with a great and promising future. Despite his young age, his technical level is great, and he has also achieved champion (Amr Atef) won silver in the Classic Physique category, and the champion (Fadi Emad) won silver in juniors, and he was the youngest player in the tournament.
