Shabab Al-Ahly accepts the gift of unity… and marks the “winter title” with seven

The Shabab Al-Ahly team won the winter title in the ADNOC Professional Football League after its great victory over its guest Dibba with seven clean goals in the confrontation that brought them together this Monday evening at Rashid Stadium in the thirteenth round of the tournament, benefiting from Al-Ain’s stumble in a positive 1-1 draw against Al-Wahda, to rise to the top of the standings for the first time this season with 32 points, one point ahead of Al-Zaeem.
This is the sixth time, and the second in a row, that the team has achieved this honorary title, which often gives initial indications about the identity of the competition champion. This season came to end the historic partnership between it and Al Ain in terms of the number of wins, after the two teams were equal with five crowns each.
The “Red” team previously won the winter title in the 2008-2009, 2013-2014, 2019-2020, 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 seasons, and in all the seasons in which it won the honorary title, it tightened its grip on the league title, with the exception of the 2019-2020 edition, which was canceled due to the “Covid-19” pandemic.
Returning to the match, the hosts had no difficulty in imposing their superiority. They took the lead through Matheus Lima in the 15th minute, Mohamed Gomaa added the second goal in the 33rd minute, then Kun Santos scored the third goal in the 41st minute, and then the fourth came by Saeed Ezzat Allah from a penalty kick in the 54th minute. Thiago Scarpino scored the fifth goal in the 58th minute, Bruno Cascardo added the sixth in the 87th minute, and Yuri Cesar completed the seven-point effort in the 54th minute. +90.
On the other hand, Dibba did not show any attacking threat, and their suffering doubled after Simon Cabral was sent off in the 34th minute, and Iago Azevedo in the 49th minute, leaving the team’s balance frozen at 9 points in penultimate place.
