Major US stock indices closed lower at the end of trading on Monday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed the trading session down by 240.59 points, or 0.5%, to reach 44,401.93 points.
The broader Standard & Poor’s 500 index lost 37.42 points, or 0.6%, to reach 6052.85 points.
The Nasdaq Composite Index of technology stocks lost 123.08 points, or 0.6%, to reach 19,736.69 points.
